The Challenge: Avoiding the Energy Dip
When people learn from a screen, their concentration span is short. A dry, mechanical voice only makes them more tired. People often make the mistake of assuming any clear voice works for long listening sessions. For e-learning, a voice must remain pleasant to listen to for hours. It needs to keep people engaged. The local company in our example realised they needed to adjust their approach. They wanted to keep their employees engaged.
Our Approach: From Dry Text to a Lively Guide
Instead of a voice that simply reads slides, we looked for one that acts like a museum guide. A good guide does not just list dates. They draw you into the story, speed up for exciting parts, and slow down for complex details.
From our database of 93 professional voice actors, we chose a voice that perfectly suited the audience. We chose Larissa, one of our Belgian voices. She has a warm, radio-friendly voice. Her natural, calm tone makes listeners feel comfortable. They absorb information better.
