Myth: You can never forecast voice-over costs upfront
The reality: professional voice pricing follows a logical, predictable structure. For commercial work like radio adverts or online campaigns, you pay a fixed basic recording fee plus a buyout. The buyout covers usage rights and depends on your distribution channels and campaign duration. For non-commercial work like internal corporate films or e-learning, we charge per word or per project. That way, your costs remain clear right from the start.
Myth: Any voice actor can read any style of text
The reality: just like stage actors, voice talents have distinct styles and vocal qualities. In our roster of 93 publicly available voices, our talents record natively in languages including Danish, German, English, French, Italian and Flemish. Bernard, recording French (BE) from Belgium, projects a warm, reassuring and authoritative tone. That works brilliantly for a corporate presentation, but a high-energy radio promo demands a completely different read. Finding the right fit requires careful curation.
Director's tip from the studio: during a session, we often ask an actor to lift the final syllable of a sentence slightly rather than letting it drop. That keeps the listener engaged. An automated voice almost always trails off downward at the end of a phrase, making the delivery sound flat and tiresome over time.
